Steps:

  8. Attach Display: Align tabs at 45° angle, seat into slots, rotate upward until it snaps into place

Important Warnings:

  • Common wire (C) is required - system will not function without it

Power On & Initial Boot

System initialization and communication check.

Steps:

  1. When powered, the thermostat boots up and shows initial setup screens

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need a C wire for Lennox iComfort?

Yes, the Lennox iComfort requires a C (common) wire for 24VAC power. Unlike some other smart thermostats, there is no battery backup or power extender option.

Can I install iComfort myself?

iComfort installation requires professional HVAC knowledge due to the communicating system setup and equipment commissioning. We recommend having a Lennox dealer install and configure the system.

What is Smart Away mode?

Smart Away uses your smartphone's location to detect when you leave home and automatically adjusts temperatures to save energy. When you return, it restores your comfort settings.

Why won't my iComfort connect to WiFi?

Ensure your router supports Bonjour (Zeroconf) networking. Check that you're not using a guest network or open network. Make sure the smart hub isn't near large metal objects that could interfere with WiFi signals.
