Installation of a Mitsubishi Electric 18,000 BTU single-zone ductless mini-split system in Concord. The outdoor unit was mounted on an elevated equipment base with the refrigerant lines protected in line-hide and the electrical disconnect installed nearby. The inverter-driven system provides both heating and cooling with precise temperature control and efficient part-load operation.

Installation challenges and work performed
Installed the outdoor unit on an elevated equipment base, connected the matching indoor wall-mounted unit, and routed the 1/4 in. x 1/2 in. refrigerant line set through protective line-hide. Electrical service and disconnect were completed at the outdoor unit.

Mitsubishi Electric M-Series single-zone ductless system with MUZ-GS18NA outdoor unit and MSZ-GS18NA indoor unit. 18,000 BTU nominal capacity, 230V electrical, inverter-driven compressor, approximately 21.6 SEER, Energy Star certified, with heating operation down to approximately -4°F and dry-mode dehumidification.
Observed result
Completed single-zone mini-split installation with the outdoor equipment securely mounted, line set protected, and the system configured to provide both heating and cooling.

Replaced an existing HVAC system with a Bosch 4-ton inverter packaged heat pump and added upstairs/downstairs zoning. The Concord homeowner found Galaxy through a rebate website and wanted heat pump heating and cooling with separate temperature controls for each floor.
